Prof. Mohammed Ali Maaytah

Professor Mohammed Ali Maaytah is a Consultant Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon with over 35 years of specialist training across the United Kingdom and Jordan. Born in Jordan, his academic journey took him to the finest surgical institutions in the world — from Bristol and Oxford to the heart of London.

He completed his fellowship training at the Royal College of Surgeons of England, the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, and the Royal College of Surgeons of Ireland. In 2005, he was awarded the Gold Medal in the Intercollegiate Exit Examination — the highest academic distinction in British surgical training, competing against the best surgeons in England, Ireland, Glasgow, and Edinburgh.

As Associate Professor and Director of Postgraduate Studies at UCL Eastman Dental Institute in London, he shaped the next generation of maxillofacial surgeons — supervising 67 MSc and 22 PhD graduates. He has been Visiting Professor at Oxford University, the University of Bristol, and the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, USA.

Today, Professor Maaytah leads the Maaytah Clinique for Maxillofacial Aesthetic and Reconstruction Surgery in Amman, Jordan, combining world-class expertise with a personal, patient-first approach — serving both local and international patients.
